Cruising the Atlantic

On April 27 we embarked from Fort Lauderdale Florida on an eight day trans Atlantic crossing aboard the Crown Princess. As this was our first ocean crossing we were somewhat apprehensive as to what to expect. Would the seas be rough? And more important would we be bored to death with nothing to do but stare out at a endless seascape?

Well I can report that the seas were not rough but extremely calm with nary a white cap in site during the entire crossing to Gibraltar. And the eight days it took to make the crossing flew by owing to the large number of activities going on from early in the morning to late into the evening. Activities such as Yoga and Zumba lessons in the morning, trivia pursuit and wine tasting in the afternoon to fine dining and live entertainment in the evening.

Would we ever do an ocean crossing again? Yes and are now planning another trans Pacific or Atlantic in the not too distant future.
