The $100 Beer

On Friday afternoon July 26, a young man anxious to join his three friends in Boundary Park for a Budweiser beer made the decision to park his Honda Civic on Boundary Drive West in a clearly marked no parking zone and adjacent to a fire hydrant.



Why he chose to park in this particular spot remains a mystery because there were numerous legal parking spaces within 200 feet of this location.

Unfortunately for this young man a Surrey By-Law officer noticed his illegally parked vehicle and issued him a $50 ticket for parking in a no parking zone and an additional $50 ticket for parking within 20 feet of a fire hydrant.
