Community Policing is all a TWITTER

Twitter  is fast becoming a preferred tool for police forces across Europe and in some North American communities to use in their endeavour to prevent and solve crime.

Twitter as a preferred means of communication has occurred because of the increasing use of smart phones in the general population. As a result, police are now able to have direct 24/7 contact with the public, that until recently was either difficult or impossible to achieve.

Perhaps it is time for Community Block Watch participants to investigate the adoption of Twitter as a preferred form of communication?
