BLOCK WATCH IMPORTANT NOTICE

Boundary Park Block Watch Report

Hello Neighbours,

A little more than a week ago, our captain on Parktree was notified that a Ford 350 truck parked on the street was stolen from further up on Parktree. On the same note, 2 weeks ago, golf clubs were stolen from a van parked in their driveway, on Northpark Cres.

AND, also just heard, that 3 weeks ago, at 3am, two individuals, one male, one female, both about mid 20's, were seen criss-crossing the street (Northpark), and walking up peoples' driveways and looking into the cars, perhaps trying to open them.

There seems to be more activity of late, regarding vehicles. Please make sure you do NOT leave anything in your vehicle, do lock the doors (or your insurance will not cover cost ),use a steering wheel locking device if you don't have an immobilizer, and if you do see something suspicious, contact police. And please do share this information with your block watches and neighbours.

Halloween is just about here. Remember the "walkabout" for those that are able to get out and join your neighbours for a leisurely stroll about your area, carrying a flashlight and cell phone, and being "seen". If anyone is up to no good, they will not like being seen by YOU. It keeps them moving along. You are not to approach them...just let them know you are there. Even with the rain there will be a few hijinks.

Remember too, that you need a permit etc.from the fire dept. to have a firworks display. If you see any other such activity where it should not be, again call police. The non-emergency number is 604-599-0502. If it is a true emergency, call 911.

That's it for now. Have a great Halloween.
