Men are Finished

A recent article under the heading 'What woman do' caught my attention by the opening statement "Men are finished." It turns out this statement was a proposition put forward as topic for debate at New York University (NYU).

  
The facts however do not support this proposition. According to a 2011 World Bank study, women in jobs regardless if they are in rich or poor countries earn anywhere from 10 - 30% less than men. The reasons for these differences in gender equality range from gender discrimination, education, access to capital, and women's choice of occupations.

Regardless of the facts, the judges agreed the motion put forth successfully argued that "Men are finished."
