From: Marjorie
Area Coordinator,
Boundary Park Block Watch
There have been a rash of brass theft in this area. Brass letters and numbers have been taken from the townhouses along Boundary Dr. South and north. Two males, early 20's, wearing hoodies and riding bikes, have been seen running away from the areas affected. Police have been notified but please keep an eye on things yourselves and if you see anything suspicious, contact the non-emergency no. and record your findings.
Try to give details as
to description ( height, weight, ethnicity, clothing etc.) and time of day. If
a vehicle is involved, try to get a licence no. without putting yourself at
risk.
Also on the same note, a tall, slim man, mid 20's to
possibly 40 ish, has been seen skulking around homes in the early morning hours
and riding off on a bike. In this situation, police should be called
immediately with this information. Don,t forget to let your B.W. captain know
about these things so that he/she can pass the word to the neighbours.
Also, be very careful about leaving your garage door
open, even 14 or so inches. It has been noted that very slim bodies can indeed
slip under the door and get into the garage. And if the inside door to the
house is not locked, you could have an intruder. Even a few inches left for any
long length of time may invite a 4 legged creature inside as another neighbour
found out. Not necessarily something you want in your garage.
Pot smoking is seen regularly apparently, around the pond
in mid day. The perpetrators, park on Southpark by gate #13, on Northpark by
gate#2, or in Parkside Place by the pathway. Again try to get licence no.s and
pass them to your captain and Carrie. Police will then see how regular these
guys are around the pond, who they are and so on. Even though the debate about
whether or not to legalize this stuff is ongoing, it is STILL against the law
and police will respond accordingly.
That,s about it for now. If you have any news, please let
me know so that I can pass it along to all of you and you can share with your
neighbours.
Thanks and have a wonderful rest of the summer.
