Despite increased public awareness, through word of mouth,  CBC Television News coverage and social media, thefts from Canada Post Super Mail Boxes are on the increase.

According to Canada Post, mail box thefts are now frequently being reported in Boundary Park, Panorama Ridge, Cloverdale and other areas of South Surrey.

Boundary Park residents are encouraged to pick up their mail on a daily basis and to report any suspicious activity to the Surrey RCMP at 604.599.0502 or call 911 if you witness a break in in progress.

Thanks up for keeping us updated. It's sad that this time of year brings out the worst in people.
I imagine it's a lot of drug addicts looking for quick cash in the envelopes. A lot of people probably still send cash to their grandkids.
I imagine they'd take the cheques too but that's pretty high risk to cash.
Hell, what am I thinking, breaking into mailboxes is high risk. These guys have no fear and they know the penalties are few.
